Hola Dear Family and friends,
Well i´m glad that you all enjoyed my letter last week. Things have been going well this week. Ceasar got baptized and it was a memorable one...mostly because he was really excited. When he got his baptismal pants he put them on and started doing stretches/lunges (no idea how to spell thatword) to make sure they fit right. Unfortunately the guy who filled up the font didn´t put enough warm water so the water was really cold. That was a funny experience too because as we all know baptism is a sacred experience so we were all in the room and the doors to the front were closed when allof a sudden we hear ¨¨AHH...este question esta helado!!!¨¨ (translation:This thing is freezing!). After which both him and the man who was baptizing him (Mauro) started making noises that cold people often make. Poor boys,afterwards they were freezing. But all is good.As for the rest of the week...My head is FULL of Michael Jackson songs because EVERYONE has been either a) watching his funeral on TV or b) playingThriller and/or other famous songs blasting them from the street. More people have asked me about the death of Michael Jackson than when Obama took office!Let´s see...this week was gorgeous! IT hardly rained at all the days were sunny, but still cold. I like winter like this. Many of you have asked about Nacimiento and i realized that i never really explained it. It is a smallertown near the country side. There are a lot of farms and hills surroundingit. The River Bio Bio also runs down the middle of it. It´s actually pretty funny because the other side of the river is called ¨¨Otro lado¨¨ by people on the main part of Nacimiento. However, if you are on the ¨¨otro lado¨¨people call the main part of Nacimiento ¨¨otro lado¨¨ so it depends on which¨¨lado¨¨ you are on. Many people consider Nacimiento boring because it´s notthe city but i love it and think it´s beautiful. There are lots of ups and downs so we work out a lot. Which is good because fried food is also astaple here. They fry just about everything, sopapillas, calazones rotos,berlines, etc. Etc. One week we had been given fried food EVERYDAY. We did not feel good to say the least. The people are generally friendly, but youmeet different kidns of people wherever you are. Umm...that´s all i cant think of right now. Reina, there are a lot of youth in the ward that are your age. There´s actually a girl named Joceline that leaves with us a lot and she´s 17 too. I think you too would be friends, she reminds me a lot of you. So things are going fine. I´m getting more and more tired as the weeks go on but that´s the way it goes. I think last night both me and hna Sullivan were so beat we went to bed early. But then we also had to wake up early this morning because we traveled to see some of her old converts here in Concepcion. Well, i hope you are all doing well.
