Hey guys,
Sorry it took me so long to get to write you guys, but yesterday we had a
sister´s conference and couldn´t use the Internet until today. Ok, so first
off I am staying in Nacimiento for another transfer! And i am in a
trio….i´ll be with Hna Fowler and Hna Nuñez again! I couldn´t believe it
when i heard it but i´ll be back with her for another transfer. It´s really
rare for a companionship to be together for 3 transfers…and even more rare
for it to be in a trio, so i figure God really wants us to be together for a
reason. I´m excited to be with her again, she rocks! It will take some time
getting used to the trio (we did contacts today and i already think 3 is a
crowd) but we´ll have to figure out how to make it work.
So as i said, we had a sister´s conference in Concepcion for our Pday. All
the sister´s in the mission traveled up for it and it was very good. It´s
crazy because the last time i was there for the conference i was the newest
one in the mission…now i´m one of the oldest! But we all got there Sunday
night and spent the night in the mission home ( I miss nicely built homes!).
The next morning some of us went running with the President and then we had
the conference. We talked about how we can improve as sister´s and what we
were doing well. It was really good, especially because as hermanas many
times we don´t get these types of learning opportunities. The Elders are
always doing intercambios (where they Exchange companions for a day to learn
from one another) and the leaders have many conferences but the hermanas
many times don´t (because there are so few of us in comparison to the
Elders). So when we get to improve, i enjoy it. It was great to be able to
see all the hermanas again! I loved it. And i now have a wish list for the
next 3 cambios that are left as to who will be my next comp. We´ll see what
happens. I took a lot of pics but i fogot to bring my camera to this ciber
so next week i´ll have to send you guys the pics. It´s interesting how the
mission really has become like my family. When i left the conference i felt
the same pain as i did when i left my family to go back to school. It was
like it couldn´t last long enough. That is another thing that has really
changed from the last conference to this conference. I hardly know anyone
last conference, but this time around i was friends with the majority of the
girls there (we´re 21 in total). Good times.
Last week also went well. The time is going by quickly and i really can´t
remember all that happened last week. I do however, remember this one guy
that we met who was pretty cool. He is very intelligent and therefore a
little weird but he wanted to see the chapel so we gave him a private tour
and taught him about the church/baptism etc. And he was very receptive. He
then began telling us how when he looks at the Stars he knows God has to
exist. He then told us the process that it took to get to that conclusion
(which was very interesting to hear in Spanish). The short of it is that
through much reading he realized that the Stars, planets, etc. are round.
And that the big bang theory could not be right because only a being could
make everything round…i couldn´t happen by accident…it´s actually imposible
that the pieces of an explosion are all round in shape. Anyway, i thought
that was interesting. We´re gonna try to teach him again. Oh yea….and i
found out that Juana (from San Pedro) has a date to be baptized!!!! I was
way excited when i heard it. As of right now it´s for the 24 of Oct. So pray
that she continues to progress. We´ll that´s it for now. I love you all and i
hope that you all are doing well. Until next week. Love ya
Robyn
